Ingredients:

2 tablespoon aloe vera gel
1 cup of water
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)

Instructions:

  1.  Wash Aloe Vera leaf under running water to remove mud and dirt.
  2.  Dry it with an absorbent cloth
  3.  Cut down the edges to remove the thorny parts and to open up the leaf.
  4.  Cut and open aloe vera leaf from the middle section.
  5.  Squeeze out the entire gel from the leaf with a knife or a spoon and store in a bowl.
  6.  Add the gel, honey, lemon juice (optional) in a cup of water and blend.

These date balls taste amazing and can be made in 5 minutes. You will need only 3 ingredients and no baking is required. They’re delicious, healthy, are oil-free and have no added sugar.

Ingredients
1 cup nuts (Almonds, walnuts or cashews)
1 cup (12-15 whole) soft pitted dates.

1/2 cup sesame seeds

Instructions

1) Combine all the ingredients in a food processor.
2) Continue processing for another 1 to 2 minutes, until the ingredients clump together.
3) Fill a small shallow bowl with sesame seeds. Scooped a rounded tablespoon of paste and roll into a ball using your hands. Roll ball in sesame seeds to cover and place on a plate. Repeat with remaining paste.

4)Let them chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving. Room-temperature balls are also fine to eat, but will be more soft and paste-like.

How to Make Homemade Organic Almond Milk

Almond milk is the healthiest richest tasting milk, and also alkalizing to the body. It is smooth and mild in flavor. Almond milk is one of the dairy-free milk and does not cause problems with hormone levels.

Most of the almond milk brands usually contain “lecithin”, starches and thickeners to help create a traditional milk-like consistency. Therefore it is recommended to make your own homemade almond milk. Home made fresh raw almond milk  contains live enzymes with no additives or preservatives like most processed nut milks

Almond milk is quite easy to make at home.

Preparation:

  • Soak almonds for at least 12 hours in pure water. (It is very important to soak your almonds in order to neutralize the enzyme inhibitors, activate the nutrient potential, and make them easier to pulverize)
  • Rinse almonds well.
  • Blend several minutes until smooth and creamy.
  • Strain mixture into a large bowl through a sprout bag, cheese cloth or kitchen towel.
  • Put mixture back into blender with , soaked dates or honey.

 INGREDIENTS 

  • 1 1/2 cups whole almonds
  • 4 large eggs, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

TOPPING

  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

PREPARATION

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Use coconut oil to grease the pan
  • Process whole almonds in a food processor or blender until finely ground
  • Beat 4 egg yolks, 1/2 cup honey and baking soda in a large mixing bowl with an electric mixer until well combined. Add the ground almonds and beat on low until combined.
  • Beat 4 egg whites in another large bowl with the electric mixer until very foamy, white and doubled in volume
  • Gently fold the egg whites into the nut mixture until just combined.
  • Scrape the batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake the cake until golden brown and a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean, about 28 minutes.
  • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  • Run a knife around the edge of the pan and gently remove the side ring. Let cool completely.
  • Carefully transfer the cake to a serving platter.
  • To serve, drizzle the top of the cake with honey and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
