Lucid dreaming is when the person sleeping is aware that he/she is dreaming but his emotions are conjuring up all sorts of horrors that relentlessly pursue him. During lucid dreaming, we can exhibit control over the events in the dream. Meditation plays an important role in lucid dreaming as it increases activity in right hemisphere of the brain which is associated with intuition and creativity.
One of the crucial parts to lucid dreaming success is to be fearless. Therefore, Meditation helps your mind to eliminate the fears by bridging the gap between the conscious and unconscious mind by removing the times of fears, depression, anxiety and everything else that get in the way during lucid dream.
Meditation allows you to be more open minded and makes it more likely for you to have a basic understanding into the true nature of our reality. Your ability to recall dreams is also important to lucid dreaming. Here, again, meditation can help. If you meditate immediately upon waking, you will be able to get back into the dream or at least recalling the events.
